As a child my Dad would occasionally take me on his boat early in the morning to watch the sunrise and do a little fishing.
A few times he would take a break and head over to a dilapidated old bar hidden in the marshlands. A place to tie-up and gas-up and grab a pint or two. Id have a Shirley Temple and shoot some pool on a very questionable pool table. So old, torn, and the floor was so slanted that the table too was impossible to play on. but what fun, what memories, of the smells, the textures, the old guys hanging out.
